China is the biggest semiconductor market worldwide reaching 40% share. While it becomes a mature business in Silicon Valley, the semiconductor industry in China is welcoming the 2nd wave ramping up, accompanying with the explosion of the mobile internet applications.

 

The new leaders of China government have realized the importance of the semiconductor for future economic growth. In fact, China has imported more IC devices than oil in 2012. The new leaders understand that the semiconductor industry is the core of any other high tech industries. Since mid of 2013, expectation has been raised that the China Government will come out new policy to stimulate the semiconductor business in China.

 

NACSA (North America Chinese Semiconductor Association) and co-organizer CAISS (Chinese American Information Storage Society) with help of IC-Coffee in China have invited Mr. Alex Lin, CEO of Honestar (北高智), the #2 IC distributor in China, to give us a talk on “The Semiconductor Value Chain in China during the Age of Mobile Internet”. We have also invited Ms. Eileen Yan to talk about the China Policy “02 Special Project” (02专项).
