Director
of Technical Training
In
your new position, you will be reporting to the Fab Director and
working with other factory staff to lead the 300mm Fab68 Technical
Training organization.
This
is a local China hire position and are not an expatriate
assignment. It will require training assignment in the US
for approximately 6 months before locating to Dalian, China.
Description:
Your
responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
·
Leading,
coaching and facilitating the performance of Your team of ~ 15
technical training exempt professionals (Instructional Systems
Designers, Technical Training Engineers and Technical Program/Project
Managers).
·
Manages
the tactical, strategic, and/or day-to-day operational activities
involved in the design, preparation, delivery, and needs assessment
of F68 (manufacturing
facility) technical
training and development programs.
·
Understanding
the respective factory engineering and manufacturing competency gaps,
working with factory stakeholders and partnering with site technical
training team to develop and/or deploy the related training solution
to close the technical knowledge and/or skill gaps.
·
Plans
course design and support documentation as well as develops and/or
approves content, methods, and materials.
·
Ensures
training program(s) meets company and customer objectives for
competencies in engineering and manufacturing fields.
·
Planning
and scheduling work to ensure smooth program deployment, necessary
update to respective factory training manager(s) and meet start up
schedule.
·
Acting
as a performance consultant and training programs consolidator,
providing and/or facilitating employee development activities, and
recommending and/or implementing employee development systems.
·
Benchmarking
externally/internally to develop and deliver state-of-the art adult
maximizing overall training ROI; partnering proactively with TD to
shift engagement upstream with new technology transfers;.
·
Consistently
delivering affordable solutions which have a clear measure of
effectiveness.
·
Implementing
necessary evaluation to measure the effectiveness of training
solutions.
·
Driving
resolution of training issues impacting manufacturing, engineering
and A9 employees, and coordinating across multiple functions in the
facility to meet operational objectives.
·
The
manager will coach/chair/support cross TMG (division-level)
forums and
will drive/influence current and future TMG (division)
Technical
Training strategic direction and translate this to strategies &
deliverables through managing their direct team and
influencing/leading Fab (manufacturing
facility) and
AT (assembly
Test)Training
Leadership Team training initiatives.
Qualifications:
·
You
should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Training/ISD, Human
Factors Engineering, Organizational Development, or similar field,
with more than ten years related experience and 8 years of
supervisory experience.
·
You
will have demonstrated role model qualities, leadership and meet
expectations of middle & upper management, for a minimum of 8+
years. This will include managing exempt employees, preferably in
managing other managers and also in developing advanced ISD skills
for their employees.
·
Experience
managing in a technical training environment, demonstrating
increasing levels of responsibility, and a clear understanding of
factory technical requirements spanning Fab and Sort.
·
You
will have a proven track record in managing cross-functional/diverse
teams, demonstrated problem solving, effective decision making,
break-through thinking and strong oral/written communication skills.
·
Delivering
high technical training results with strong partnering &
influencing across organizational boundaries primarily with mid and
senior levels and demonstrated credibility with all levels of
management.
·
Strong
knowledge of Microsoft* Office* applications (PowerPoint, Outlook*,
Word*, Excel*), Basic knowledge of fab Execution Systems and
DSS (Decision Support software) systems uses to support
manufacturing.
·
Ability
to communicate effectively both verbally and by written communication
in both Mandarin and English.
Fab
68 Director of Sort Engineering
In
your new position, you will be reporting to the Fab Director and
working with other factory staff to lead the 300mm Fab68 Sort
Engineering organization.
This
is a local China hire position and is not expatriate
assignment. It will require training assignment in the US
for approximately 6 months before locating to Dalian, China.
Description:
Your
responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Leading
the technical and process-transfer effort to optimize the start up of
Fab68 in Dalian, China
·
Working
with existing Intel 300mm fabs around the world to improve tool and
software performance, reduce cost, and increase flexibility in
technology transfer
·
Providing
factory leadership and management for proactive tactical planning and
execution of the production ramp, resource planning and/or
management, and tool and labor productivity improvements
·
Leading
and coordinating teams to develop inventive fab strategies and
systems to improve execution and efficiency in a high-volume
manufacturing environment
·
Defining
and implementing the overall manufacturing strategies that meet Fab
68 Manufacturing Factory start up, ramp, and future operational
sustainability
·
Managing
staff of shift managers and Sort manufacturing (production control)
systems with growth to extended staff for a high volume manufacturing
environment.
·
Assessing
overall personnel and material levels, establishing plans and
monitoring work to ensure production schedules are met within
established quality and cost objectives
·
Establishing
operating policies and procedures, ensuring issues impacting
manufacturing are addressed and coordinating across multiple
functions in the manufacturing facility to meet operational
objectives
·
Ensuring
overall safety of personnel and protection of company assets and the
surrounding environment
·
Leading
and coordinating teams to develop inventive sort strategies and
systems to improve execution and efficiency in a high-volume
manufacturing environment
·
Interface
with Industrial Engineering for planning factory capacity, providing
direction on focus areas for productivity improvement and working
with stakeholders to ensure that loading is supported
·
Providing
support to new product startups and engineering activities that
required new allocations from existing capacity
·
Developing
solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment
Qualifications:
·
You
should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering,
Management, Safety or equivalent related degree with more than
eight years related experience and 4 years of supervisory experience.
·
Ability
to demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, management,
analytical and problem solving skills.
·
Knowledge
of business and management principles involved in strategic planning,
leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people
and resources
·
Create

·
Strong

Description:
Your
responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Serving
as an active member of the leadership team for the technical and
process-transfer effort to optimize the start up of Fab68 in Dalian,
China
·
Working
with existing Intel 300mm fabs around the world and other F68 and
corporate departments to lead the fab’s effort to reduce costs
and cycle times associated with direct and indirect materials (chems,
gases, test wafers, spare parts, gownroom consumables) and equipment
service contracts
·
Providing
factory leadership and management for proactive strategic and
tactical planning and execution of all test wafers for tool install,
production ramp, and high volume operations
·
Recruiting,
hiring, training, and leading teams to develop inventive fab
strategies and systems to improve execution and efficiency incoming
direct and indirect materials, gownroom supplies, and equipment
service contracts in a high-volume manufacturing environment
·
The
assessment of the requirements and plans to establish an effective
manufacturing systems operation that works together with other
departments to optimize the availability, quality, and
consumption/spending of materials and SSP resources in support of
I/Q, ramp, and sustaining objectives
·
Areas
of responsibility include the following: gases, chemicals, spares,
quartz, targets and non-Intel part numbered Breadman stock, Supplier
Service Program (SSP) program, test wafers, and coordination with
Intel Cal Labs and Intel Module Repair (for re-usable spare parts)
·
Manufacturing
systems function will collaborate with Materials to define service
levels and inventory stocking strategies, reduce cycle times, pursue
alternate sourcing and other cost reduction initiatives to optimize
the supply chain for this new factory
·
The
Manufacturing Systems department will accomplish these objectives
through a base of significant content expertise and utilization of
relationships with Engineering, Manufacturing, Automation, I/Q,
Global Fab Materials, Capital Equipment Development, and other
organizations as necessary
Qualifications:
·
You
should possess a Bachelor's or a Master's degree or a Doctorate in
Engineering or Management and more than ten years related experience.
·
Knowledge
of business and management principles involved in strategic planning,
resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique,
production methods, and coordination of people and resources
·
The
manufacturing systems manager role requires demonstrated leadership
ability in a manufacturing environment.
·
The
successful candidate should have a history of effectively managing an
operations department and have a track record of working through
complex operations challenges and issues to deliver effective
results.
·
Solid
understanding of Intel operations and materials business, along with
good working relationships with key stake holders.
·
Candidate
should have a minimum of a BS degree in engineering or equivalent,
with 10+ years relevant work experience, preferably including at
least one fab start up.
