Like the sun rising in the East, the solar industry in China has risen to unparalleled heights.  The limelight shone on the successful IPO of Suntech Power(无锡尚德太阳能) last year on the NYSE (raising $400M), with several other companies, such as LinYang SolarFun(江苏林洋新能源), Baoding YingLi(天威英利新能源), etc. waiting in the wings.  At the same time, billions dollars of venture capital are being raised to fund new technologies and processes.  The thirst appears to be insatiable, as China’s domestic energy demands continue to skyrocket and the world continues to search for clean and inexpensive energy to counter rising oil prices.

With China poised to become one of the dominant manufacturers and consumers of solar energy, NACSA welcomes an esteemed panel of solar experts from China to shed some light on the trends, opportunities, and challenges of the solar industry in China.  Our panel will offer diverse perspectives (entrepreneur, investment, and academic), focusing on China uniqueness as a manufacturing base, a marketplace, and a hotbed for innovation.

NACSA invites its members and other professionals with interests in solar technology to join us for this exciting discussion.   The event is $10 if you RSVP, and $20 at the door, and space is limited.   Please RSVP before 10/17 to rsvp@nacsa.com and include your name, affiliation, email and phone number.
